Challenge 6 Results

Hello there! Welcome to the results for GUPS Challenge 6. Once again, I'm sorry for the delay in getting them up.

This week we had to say goodbye to Jazz, who didn't turn in an entry. We'll miss ya, gal.

Moving right along since I know ya'll are anxious... it's critique time! The judges and I were quick with our comments this week because we were all busy and only a couple had time to turn in their judging. So this week, I'm just going to post one or two comments from each judge. :)

CRITIQUES:
Chloe:
Judge #1: "It has a cool concept, and I like that you didn't do something typical. I also like the color scheme. It just looks unfinished with all the white space."
Judge #2: "I liked how her set was waaaay different from everyone else's, and it was pretty creative. The only issue was that it looked a bit cluttered/messy."
Judge #3: "Very very very lovely. I thought it was a bit too "dark" for a garden themed contest however."
Speedy:
Judge #1: "You blend all your pictures together so well and it looks amazing. This set is absolutely magical and beautiful."
Judge #2: "It's really good, but it's kind of the exact thing you'd think of when you think about gardens. Like, all fairy-tale-y and stuff. The set has good textures and it's made well."
Judge #3: "Very pretty, however I thought that the horses should have been incorporated more, instead of just being a border."
Lizzy:
Judge #1: "I love the gentle, peaceful vibe it gives off. It's a little simple for my tastes, but still very nicely done."
Judge #2: "Really creative, and good pictures were used. My only problems are that it kind of looks like the girl is a giant, because everything else is kind of small compared to her."
Judge #3: "Gorgeous dear. However try not to crowd the set with too much items."
Izzy:
Judge #1: "This set almost looks like a graphic design thing and not a Polyvore set. The texturing is exquisite, and that text! It has so many layers and it matches the colors of the set perfectly."
Judge #2: "Great layout, but it wasn't like, super creative. It was pretty much just a nice picture with a bunch of textures over it? This one is my personal favorite, btw."
Judge #3: "Nice picture, but there were too much textures going on. "
Bri:
Judge #1: "What a neat idea! I love that you tried something from a book. You get bonus points for creativity!"
Judge #2: "It turned out kinda....eh..... Everything looks really pasted on."
Judge #3: "Very creative. I liked how you opted to go different. However, I think too much was going on."
Doodle:
Judge #1: "This set is very happy and vibrant and I love the beautiful colors! However, the sizing is off... which is because of the placement of the flowers."
Judge #2: "It's nice, but I'm not really liking all of the colors together. And the orange makeup on the black and white girl doesn't really work."
Judge #3: "Nice layout. Really. But this set showed that you did not put much effort at all."
Lemon:
Judge #1: "While the textures in the corner are nice, it needed more texturing... something else to make it unique."
Judge #2: "I loveee it. Really cute. But I'm kind of not understanding the random flowers in the sky."
Judge #3: "Very nice picture and textures, however, you could have done more."
Rachel:
Judge #1: "While this is a nice idea and the sizing is pretty nice, you didn't blend the images together well at all."
Judge #2: "Not very creative - just some flowers and a sky. The layout is....uhhhh....not that great. Looks really pasted on again, not natural at all."
Judge #3: "Very creative. The pictures looked like pictures over each other."
Molly:
Judge #1: "This looks rushed."
Judge #2: "It's kinda creative. It's okay. But I hate the way it goes from everything blending in well in the background, to looking all pasted on in the foreground."
Judge #3: "Very creative and different. However, the water bucket is just randomly placed there."
Duckie:
Judge #1: "Cute idea! I'm glad you did something different. But I'm not really into the cartoon-ish feel."
Judge #2: "I do like the way you kind of made it look like an Eric Carle illustration."
Judge #3: "One of my 3 faves. I LOVED the creativity. I still think it wasn't garden-y."

And now... the scores. I'm not dividing you up into groups anymore, so I'll just go down the list.

This week's winner is...

Congrats, Molly, you're in 8th.

Which leaves us with Doodle and Rachel. Both of you gals have shown tremendous potential, but you both seemed to struggle with this week's challenge. Which one of you will be going home?

And the answer is... neither of you.

Both of you were tied and we already lost Jazz this week, so I didn't think it was fair to let both of you go. So show us something awesome next week, okay? :)

That's all for now, folks! G'night.
