So sorry about the lateness. :( I've been busy over the holidays and haven't had time... I'm really sorry to keep you gals waiting. Let's move along, quickly. I'm just going to post the critiques from each judge. [: Unfortunately, the week after winning a challenge Lemon had to drop out. We love you, Lemon! :(
CRITIQUES:
Speedy-
Judge #1: At first glance, this looks plain, but when I look more closely I can see the detail and the fact that you worked hard on it. The room is very nicely laid out and the details are very nice. However, something feels "off" with the colors... they don't quite mesh, or something.
Judge #2: Very nice room! I really loved the feel of it. I can imagine myself getting inspired by the beautiful scenery. Love the contrast of colors. But it sort of seemed confined. There was just one window, and it was pretty small, and the rest of the wall was "squished" with items.
Judge #3: I think this set is perfect, but the tree doesn't look nice squished between the lamp and the display thing.
Lizzy-
#1: Very pretty! You incorporated all the elements well and I love the big window. However, the room doesn't really look "artsy" to me... the colors and decor you chose make it look kind of stuffy and uninspiring. Mostly because of the big rug and the boring floor choice.
#2: Very nice room! It seemed large. However, I wish the walls were more decorated. You couldn't really get inspired.
#3: This room is gorgeous! It looks exactly like where an artist will like to live.
Izzy-
#1: What a beautiful, well laid out and inspiring room! I love the earthy tones of orange that you chose and the details are lovely. I really like all the items. However, what's up with the couch? It just seems out of place.
#2: Very nice! I liked your take, but thought it was too cluttered.
#3: This room is pretty, but the hands just don't fit in.
Molly-
#1: This looks more like a bedroom instead of an artist's studio... it just doesn't look all that inspiring. It's pretty, yes, and incorporates most of the required elements, but there's nothing special about it. I know you have it in you to do something more creative!
#2: Nice room, but I really didn't see orange, or classical music, or inspiration. More effort was needed, although I know this challenge was well, challenging.
#3: Nice room, but the bed is blocking the window, which causes it not to look good.
Doodle-
#1: I love the way you use color... that's my favorite part of your sets! This week was no exception... this room looks vibrant and inspiring. However, I would have liked to see a little more orange, and the room doesn't look very "open." Like, there's not much room for the art things.
#2: Nice take on the challenge! However, I thought the floor was tooo cluttered.
#3: This room is beyond beautiful! Its very inspirational; I love it!!
Duckie-
#1: This room looks very open, and I love that. Great job with the windows. However, I'm disappointed that the walls and floor are so dull and, for the most part, bare. I understand the art supplies being the focus but this room doesn't really incorporate any of the inspiring things that your client requested.
#2: Lovely! It seemed very big and inspiring place to work! I loved your touches to the room. However, where is the classical music?
#3: This room is...nice, but I don't see the "Artist" feeling in it, and it just looks quickly done.
Bri-
#1: Love the quote on the wall. Love it. I love all the little details. Those are great. But, for the most part, the room looks pretty bare. Some rugs on the floor, perhaps? I do love what you did with the window, however.
#2: Nice take! Although you took a small risk, I didn't think the set was representative to the theme completely. It seems, well empty.
#3: This doesn't match the "artist" feeling, as I said before. It looks quickly done.
Chloe-
#1: Great use of detail! I love the shelving and the bulletin board. However, the furniture you chose makes it look boring, which is sad because this set has great parts to it. Keep improving gal! :)
#2: Nice room. But, it was plain. A rug with a nice accent would have done it. Also, it wasn't really "artsy" and where's the classical music?
#3: This room is nice, and I love the decorating. Brava!
The judging was difficult this week, and super duper close. :( Unfortunately, someone has to go home. But also, someone has to win. Who will it be?

6th place... congrats, Chloe. :)
Which leaves us with Bri and Duckie.
Bri, you've been awesome at times (you won challenge 2!) and at times your entries have left us wanting more. This was one of those weeks. Do you get another chance to show us how awesome you are?
Duckie, we all know you're fabulously creative. This week your set had the potential to be great, but it didn't follow the requirements all that well. Do you get another chance?
Only half a point separated you two, and it makes me sad that either of you has to leave... but 7th place goes to...

Bri. By half a point, you are still with us. Show us something great next week.
Duckie, I really hate to see you go. You're an awesome competitor and you rock. Let's look at some of Duckie's sets before we run back to the forum to see the new challenge, shall we?
Bye, Duckie! :(
That's all, folks. Now run back to the forum and see your new challenge. As soon as I make the darn thing.
